Sydney wants to go to Girl Scouts. GIRL SCOUTS! Isn’t that for middle school girls? It just seems so old! I mean, I remember Brownies at this age, but GIRL SCOUTS! Her beautiful little friend Amelie told her about it and she made me promise to find out more about it (since my initial statement was “we’ll see.” Isn’t that such an “I’ll never say that to my kid” type of statement…Well, I say it all the time. Dang! That’s probably why she made me promise to actually do something).
Well, the next day there was a flyer in her backpack inviting us to a Girl Scouts info meeting. I guess I didn’t have to do anything after all! Tonight, 6:30, that’s where we’ll be. All grown up.
Let me know how the meeting goes. I can’t go to the Girl Scouts meeting b/c I will be at a PTA meeting (Wow. a PTA mom. A Girl Scouts mom. Now all Amélie needs to do is take up soccer and I can be a soccer mom, too! Maybe not…).
